Sunapee Cellar & Pantry will be closed Tuesday, October 13 through Friday, October 23, reopening Saturday, October 24.
We’re taking a little fall break, but there will be plenty of wine research along the way. We’ll be traveling through the Piedmont region of Northern Italy, tasting and exploring in search of our next great Barolo, Nebbiolo, and Arneis to bring back to Sunapee.
We’ll also be making a stop in Verona to visit Pasqua Winery, and you’ll get to taste some of what we discover. Our Thursday, October 29 wine tasting will feature four wines from Pasqua, giving us a chance to share a little bit of our Italian wine adventure with you.
We look forward to seeing you when we return, hopefully with a few new favorites and plenty of stories from Italy.

At Sunapee Cellar & Pantry, one of the things we love most about wine is discovery. There is always another grape, region, producer, or style waiting to surprise you. A recent wine industry white paper calls these bottles “wines of discovery”: compelling, approachable wines that help us better understand wine and, more importantly, our own tastes. They are bottles priced reasonably enough to try something new, but distinctive enough to tell a story about where they come from and how they were made.
